The SILOMAX FTZU02ATEX0008X Level Sensor delivers dependable limit level detection for loose and bulk materials in silos and storage bins. Designed for industrial safety and control, it provides accurate ON/OFF signaling when material reaches a preset level.

Operators use this sensor for alarm activation, system blocking, and integration into central control systems.

Proven Rotary Paddle Operating Principle

The SILOMAX functions as a rotary paddle level switch. A small internal motor rotates the measuring vane continuously.

When bulk material covers the paddle, rotation stops immediately. The internal relay contact switches once the preset limit is reached.

This simple mechanical principle ensures consistent and reliable detection.

Adjust paddle size according to material characteristics. Adapt the sensor easily for powders, granules, or other loose solids.

Clear LED Status Indication

An integrated LED beneath the translucent DIP-switch cover signals operating status. The LED flashes every second during normal rotation.

When the paddle stops due to material coverage, the flashing interval shortens to 0.3 seconds. The LED blink rate reflects relay output state clearly.

The sensor also monitors internal temperature. It indicates overheating conditions through LED behavior similar to paddle burial.

At low temperatures, the vane rotates continuously to raise internal temperature to a safe operating level.

Install the sensor by screwing it into a G5/4″ threaded mounting opening. Use a reduction adapter for DN100 flange mounting.

Ensure mounting thread length remains below 23 mm for correct fixation.

The device operates on 230V / 50Hz power supply. Maximum power consumption reaches 10 W.

The output relay contact supports 250V AC / 1A with 0.2A fuse protection. Terminals for PE, N, and L connect power supply securely.

Maximum ambient temperature reaches +55°C. Maximum medium temperature reaches +80°C, or up to +200°C with cooling extender.
