Ultrasonic Level Meter ULM-54

The ULM-54 Ultrasonic Level Meter is a reliable instrument designed for continuous non-contact level measurement in a wide range of industrial and environmental applications. It is commonly used for monitoring water levels in rivers, canals, tanks, sumps, and reservoirs, as well as measuring liquids, slurries, pastes, and bulk materials.

This ultrasonic sensor uses advanced echo-based measurement technology. It sends ultrasonic pulses toward the surface of the material and measures the time taken for the echo to return. The device then converts this information into an accurate level measurement signal.

Non-Contact Measurement Technology

The ULM-54 performs level measurement without direct contact with the medium. This design minimizes wear, contamination, and maintenance requirements. It also ensures reliable performance when measuring corrosive liquids, foaming surfaces, or contaminated materials.

The non-contact technology makes the sensor ideal for outdoor environments, including water management systems, wastewater treatment facilities, and industrial storage tanks.

Ultrasonic Level Meter has Flexible Installation Options

The ULM-54 supports flexible installation using upper or lower threaded connections. This allows easy integration into different tanks, vessels, and monitoring systems.

A horn adapter can also be installed to enhance echo reception. This accessory improves measurement performance when working with foaming liquids, loose materials, or difficult surfaces.

Remote Communication and Output

The level meter provides a 4–20 mA output signal with HART® communication. This allows remote monitoring, configuration, and integration into modern industrial automation systems.

The device operates with a two-wire cable connection, simplifying wiring and reducing installation costs.

The ULM-54 features a robust all-plastic housing made of polypropylene (PP) with a PVDF transmitter for enhanced chemical resistance. Its IP68 protection rating ensures reliable performance in harsh outdoor conditions.

The sensor can operate in temperatures ranging from -30°C to +70°C, making it suitable for demanding environmental monitoring applications.
