Description
High-Frequency Limit Level Sensor RFLS-35
The RFLS‑35 High‑Frequency Limit Level Sensor is an advanced industrial device designed for precise limit level detection of liquids, viscous fluids, and paste-like materials.
This sensor operates using high-frequency measurement technology, allowing reliable level monitoring even in difficult industrial environments where conventional sensors struggle.
Reliable Level Detection for Challenging Media
The RFLS-35 sensor accurately detects the level of a wide range of fluids and semi-solid materials.
It works effectively with conductive and non-conductive media, including products such as syrups, yoghurt, creams, detergents, chemicals, pastes, and liquid soap.
Unlike traditional sensors, the RFLS-35 resists buildup and contamination on the sensing electrode.
Its advanced technology suppresses the influence of foam and viscous deposits. This capability ensures accurate and stable level detection even when sticky materials coat the sensor surface.
Advanced “Medium Window” Recognition Technology
One of the key features of the RFLS-35 is its unique “Medium Window” function. This intelligent feature allows the sensor to recognize a specific material based on its dielectric properties.
For example, the sensor can differentiate between oil, water, and air, or detect foam while ignoring the liquid beneath it. This selective sensing improves measurement accuracy and reduces false switching signals in complex process environments.
Ideal Replacement for Vibrating Level Sensors
The RFLS-35 can serve as a direct replacement for vibrating level sensors or conventional capacitive sensors in demanding industrial applications.
Its high-frequency operating principle provides higher stability and improved performance when handling viscous or adhesive materials.
Because of this capability, the sensor is widely used in chemical processing, food production, water treatment, and industrial automation systems.
Easy Installation and Configuration
The sensor mounts directly into tanks, vessels, pipes, funnels, and containers using threaded or clamp connections. Installation is typically performed on the side wall of the tank where level detection occurs.
Configuration is simple and convenient. Users can adjust settings using a magnetic pen, allowing quick setup without opening the device housing.
Durable Stainless Steel Construction
The RFLS-35 features a robust stainless steel housing made from AISI 316L, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical durability. The sensing electrode is protected with coatings such as PEEK or PTFE, making it suitable for aggressive chemicals and industrial fluids.
Versions are available for standard environments (N) and explosion-hazard areas (Xi and XiM), offering flexibility for various industrial safety requirements.
Stable Performance in Industrial Conditions
The sensor operates reliably across a wide temperature range and maintains high stability even at high sensitivity levels. It can detect substances with relative permittivity values as low as εr ≥ 1.5, making it suitable for many process materials.
