Description

Thru-wall level switch GPLS-25

Non-Intrusive Level Detection for Tanks and Gauge Pipes

The GPLS-25 Thru-Wall Level Switch is a compact sensor designed for limit level detection of liquids through non-conductive surfaces such as glass or plastic tanks, gauge pipes, and tubes. This innovative device allows reliable liquid level monitoring without direct contact with the medium inside the vessel.

By sensing through the wall of the container, the GPLS-25 eliminates the need for drilling or penetrating the tank structure. This makes installation easier while also preventing leaks, contamination, or structural damage to the container.

High-Frequency Technology for Reliable Detection

The GPLS-25 uses advanced high-frequency sensing technology to detect the presence of liquids behind glass or plastic surfaces. This technology allows the sensor to operate reliably even when the measured liquid forms conductive deposits or adheres to the inner wall of the container.

Because of this capability, the sensor can detect both conductive and non-conductive liquids, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and laboratory applications.

Compact Design with Visual Status Indication

The sensor features a miniature plastic housing that allows installation in tight spaces. Despite its compact size, it includes an LED status indicator that clearly shows the operating state of the device.

This visual feedback helps operators quickly verify whether the sensor is detecting liquid or not, simplifying monitoring and troubleshooting during operation.

Flexible Installation Options

The GPLS-25 is available in two electrode designs to support different installation surfaces:

  • Prismatic electrode version designed for round gauge pipes and tubes

  • Planar electrode version suitable for flat surfaces such as plastic or glass tanks

The sensor can be mounted using plastic straps or double-sided adhesive tape, allowing quick installation without specialized tools.

Simple Magnetic Pen Configuration

Sensitivity and switching mode settings can be easily configured using a magnetic pen. Users can select between normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) switching modes, depending on system requirements.

This configuration method allows quick adjustments without opening the device or interrupting system operation.

Easy Integration with Control Systems

The GPLS-25 features a two-wire connection that can be connected directly to a relay circuit or PLC binary input. This simplifies integration with industrial automation systems and monitoring equipment.

With its reliable performance, simple installation, and non-invasive sensing principle, the GPLS-25 provides an efficient solution for liquid level monitoring in tanks, pipes, and process systems.
